A very warm welcome to all of you who have decided to visit Cottown Masonic Lodge
430 on the world wide web, I hope you enjoy your visit and find something of interest.
Having now been installed into the office of Worshipful Master,
it is my duty to keep you informed about what is in store for 430 in the year ahead,
if 2002 was anything to go by then I think the lodge will be kept busy with
many degrees and meetings which will no doubt make the year fly by. Over the weekend of 19th/20th April 2002 Cottown Lodge visited our fellow Brethren in Edinburgh, and a good weekend was had by all those who managed to make it. On Friday 19th when we arrived, we visited our friends at Cannongate and Leith, Leith and Cannongate No.5, our last visit there was back in 1998 and again we were made extremely welcome and were treated to an excellent 1st Degree, and afterwards to a fine festive board. On the Saturday we visited Rosslyn Chapel and all agreed it was a very interesting and unique place, full of symbolism and with frequent references made to freemasonry. For more details and some pictures on our weekend visit click here. Once again many thanks to No.5 for making us so welcome. I would like to continue the tradition of a Lodge trip away and hopefully this year to a lodge in the English Constitution, I will let the Brethren know as soon as I get all the information together. I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all the brethren who attended and took part in my installation ceremony, and made the night such a success. Finally I would just ask you to call back here again soon and Hopefully I will have more information about our upcoming events for 2003. Yours Fraternally W.Bro Jimmy Kennedy |
